So Time Machine has been blowing out my entire computer at about 1pm every day and driving me nuts. The only way I could stop it from churning was the old one fingered salute. I found this app to schedule Time Machine backups which may or may not help but if you find yourself a slave to Time Machine's ceaseless ministrations, give it a try.
